Happiness this month took us in search of Autumn but Barcelona city isn’t really graced with the colours that Autumn is associated with which is absolutely fine by me. The excessively mild temperatures have kept me happy because I am about to admit that even though everyone loves Autumn so much I am going to go ahead and say that it doesn’t make me particularly happy. Autumn is the end of Summer, moving onto a cooler future, time keeps creeping on and suddenly you have to pull out last year’s winter clothes and that’s when you realise that your little man grew A LOT and that Sweet Baby Love is not so little any more. In fact he’s almost as tall as me and he’s still only 10. I want to cry.
This year’s growth spurt caught me off guard. When did he get so big? When did his little boy face make way for this older boy? Once I get over the nostalgic feeling of baby days remembered with special fondness I move onto making the most of enjoying watching this young boy navigate the challenges that are part of his today and I am loving what I see. What’s not to love?
This post is part of a Happy Happy Blog circle where a group of photographer friends that scattered around the world share in pictures what made them particularly happy during this month. Follow the circle to Rebecca Spencer Photography, based in England to see what made her happy in November.
